 Z-Medica QuikClot Trauma Kit
Police, firefighters, SWAT teams, outdoor sports enthusiasts and motorists should carry this basic kit that could one day save their lives – or someone else’s – in the event of a severe traumatic bleeding injury. The kit contains one QuikClot® ACS sponge, one Emergency Bandage™, and two packs of Crinkle Cotton Fluff compressed bandage rolls – everything required to stop even the most severe arterial bleeding on the spot.
QuikClot® Hemostatic Agent is in use with the Marines and Army as a major component of their new Field First Aid Kits. Proven in plenty of tests, it has been saving lives on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan. Working at the molecular level, the highly porous QuikClot® attracts and adsorbs the smaller water molecules, leaving the larger clotting factor and platelet molecules concentrated in the wound. This forms a powerful clot that stays in place until the patient can be moved to medical attention. QuikClot® stops bleeding when the sponge is placed in the injury in combination with direct pressure. QuikClot® is a temporary traumatic wound treatment for moderate to severe wounds, including high-volume venous and arterial bleeding. This inexpensive packet can prevent death from excessive loss of blood and hemorrhagic shock in the critical minutes before the Medic arrives. QuikClot® comes in a sterile, compact, waterproof, single use, long shelf life package. Instructions are on the pouch.
Developed by Z-Medica, it is easily applied by military, police, fire, rescue and other non-medical personnel. Every home, auto, emergency services person should have this product available for rapid use.
Personalize the kit with items you add for routine emergencies. Packed in a Cordura® nylon belt case with quick release buckle. Attaches to belt, LBV, MOLLE compatible attachment points and with ALICE gear. Both compression bandages combine several features – one-handed application, the ability to apply direct pressure, a large absorbent pad, and a closure apparatus.
