The closed cell neoprene o-ring creates a positive seal which does not allow water in. The boxes we tested off the coast of Alaska reached depths well beyond 100 feet without leaking. Independent tests, as well as our own, have consistently shown that all sizes of the Otter BoxTM are leak proof to at least a depth of 110 feet.
We understand that most of you will never use a box to this depth, but it gives us the confidence to sell you a watertight box with a lifetime guarantee. Any time that you are around water, you can trust that you items will be kept dry.
Crush Proof Design
The Otter BoxTM is made with a fiber-glass reinforced ABS resin that is virtually indestructible.
The various sizes have been pressure tested to depths beyond 100 feet. Some of the boxes have been placed under the wheels of vehicles with no effect to the box whatsoever. Due to its toughness in design and materials, we offer a lifetime guarantee on each box we sell.
