This folding military knife, designed by Grant and Gavin Hawk, has been
dubbed the “Mud Knife” because it features Polyurethane seals on the
pivot and the Hawk-Lock that render it nearly impervious to sand, dirt,
water, petroleum products, and—yes—mud.
In addition, the knife features a high-carbon 154CM stainless-steel
blade for increased hardness and edge retention. The Tungsten DLC
(Diamond Like Carbon) coating is non-reflective and provides additional
performance.
An oversized 5/15-in. pivot shaft enhances the ruggedness and
durability of this knife, while the aluminum handles with textured G-10
scales reduces weight. The patent-pending Hawk-Lock makes the blade
extra stable. Includes reversible pocket clip for left- or right-handed
carry.
