With the short standard rail, most shooters have difficulty obtaining proper eye relief for night vision devices on the Remington 700. In fact, in many cases the standard mounting base cannot even accept the night vision device. The GG&G Remington 700 Extension Rail gives the shooter better eye relief, an outstanding platform for mounting night vision devices, and a mount that can be secured easily on top of the GG&G standard Remington 700 mount and tightened with the GG&G elliptical thumb nuts.
