Blist-O-Ban


Blist-O-Ban: a new blister care product which focuses on solving the root cause of blisters in a way never seen before. In essence, Blist-O-Ban treats a blister with a blister. Other prod-ucts merely pad the problem; in many instances they exacerbate the problem. Blisters and their painful precursors—hot spots—are primarily caused by friction created when things rub against each other—such as your foot rubbing against your sock or boot. Laboratory tests using equipment designed to measure such rubbing forces demonstrated that the Blist-O-Ban bandage was substantially more effective at reducing friction than any of ten other products similarly tested.

Field tests involving Special Operations soldiers and competitive athletes confirmed the labora-tory studies. On grueling 20-mile hikes, soldiers undergoing Special Operations training found the Blist-O-Ban to be the most effective product available for reducing blisters. Not a single cross-country runner on Portland, Oregon’s Central Catholic High’s cross-country team developed a blister when wearing Blist-O-Ban.
